How To Apply
The African Children’s Choir™ is actively seeking volunteers throughout the year, no matter the position. You may apply at any time!
Becoming a volunteer is an easy process, with only a few necessary steps ensuring that you are placed where you will be most fulfilled:
- Step1: Application
- Printed, completed and mailed into the appropriate African Children’s Choir™ office
- Step 2: References
- Three references are required: personal, pastoral, and one from your employer or supervisor; each printed, completed and mailed into the appropriate office
- Step 3: Criminal Reference Check
- This legal requirement can be completed through your local police department or courthouse. As this process varies from jurisdiction to jurisdiction, please enquire with your local authorities first.
- Step 4a: Interview
- You will be contacted for an interview, most likely by telephone, only following the successful completion of the above three steps.
- Step 4b: Welcome Weekend (Chaperone Applicants only)
- Four days are set aside each spring and fall to bring together all successful applicants for further orientation and selection. If a volunteer is asked to join tour but unable to attend a Welcome Weekend, ample personal orientation and training will occur.
- Step 5: Acceptance & Orientation
- You will receive notification of acceptance and a guidebook, and begin working with Music for Life staff regarding preparations and orientation. You will be introduced to the rest of your team once the entire team is decided upon.
