Setting the Tone for G8

June 27, 2007

London, England: On Sunday the African Children’s Choir™ performed before a large audience at the outdoor plaza at the British Museum in London as part of a day long BBC Africa Live event.

As world leaders prepare for the upcoming G8 Summit, momentum is building as the international community calls for an end to world poverty, especially in Africa.

Sir Bob Geldof and Rt. Hon Gordon Brown greeted the African Children’s Choir™ and their founder, Ray Barnett, and spoke of the beauty and potential of Africa and the right for all children to receive an education.

The Choir performed to a receptive and appreciative crowd. The children closed the day with an energetic finale. Everyone was smiling!
