African Children’s Choir™ to Perform at Live8 in London
July 2, 2005
London, England: The African Children’s Choir™ has been invited to perform this weekend at the Live8 Long Walk to Justice concert in Hyde Park. The children will be performing alongside internationally renowned artists, including Mariah Carey and Paul McCartney, as they join the stage to call on world leaders to end poverty.
The African Children’s Choir™ is extremely honored to be performing at the London Live8 concert. The children in the Choir are from the Nkomazi region on the northern border of South Africa. The AIDS pandemic is devastating their villages. “Their story is that of so many children in sub–Saharan Africa”, said Ray Barnett, founder of the African Children’s Choir™. Through their music, the children of the Choir show the world the plight and hope of all African children.
