The African Children’s Choir is currently looking to fill chaperone positions for our upcoming tours beginning in September 2018 and April 2019:
Do you love Jesus? Children? Travel? Do you want to be a part of a team that is making a lasting and profound spiritual impact on Africa’s future generation? Become a chaperone with the African Children’s Choir and let this year be the year you make a difference!
This is the chance of a lifetime to work with one of the most unique choirs in the world, showcasing the beauty, dignity, potential and hope of some of Africa’s most vulnerable children.
“I came expecting to be a blessing, however in return, these kids have been a blessing to me. Their love, joy, laughter and enthusiasm have given me a renewed sense of hope, and they have shown me what it truly means to love without boundaries!”
– Lauren Ingersoll
Chaperone, Choir 45
Our chaperones become the family, “the Aunties and Uncles,” for the Choir children for the duration of their tour which may take them through the US, Canada and/or the United Kingdom. In addition to being the primary caretakers of the children while they are on tour, our chaperones need to be professional representatives of the organization, positive and encouraging team members, appreciative of the cross-cultural environment of tour, consistent spiritual role models for the children and have the ability to handle a variety of social situations appropriately and maturely.
“Touring with the African Children’s Choir is an experience unlike anything else I know. I am being stretched, grown, and challenged in so many ways, but I am certain that this is exactly where the Lord wants me. I will be returning home a different person than the one who began tour, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
– Amy Kraus
Chaperone, Choir 43
Qualified chaperones should be between the ages of 21-60, have a desire to mentor children in a relationship with the Lord, and be able to raise the funds needed for a complete tour.
We are currently looking for qualified candidates to take on the following roles:
- Tour Leader
- Music Teacher
- Administration & Logistics
- Bus Driver
- Merchandise Coordinator
- Sound Technician
