I just want to say the program has been a point of resolution in my life. It has enabled me to build on my confidence and relations with people from other parts of the world.”
“The program was full of discussion and reflection which is important especially for communication skills development… and helped me to learn that change must start with me”

‘Be the change you wish to see in the world’ this was the motto for the 2010 Relief and Development program. Combining classroom teaching, guest speakers, and hands-on practical experience in the field, participants lived, learnt and served within Music for Life’s projects and their surrounding communities.
Each course lasts 4 weeks and in 2011 topics featured included current development trends, working with non government and community based organisations, project management and leadership, gender and child studies, and more. Lecturers from Nairobi will teach as well as speakers from external organizations.
Western students will be partnered with former African Children’s Choir students, for a cultural exchange and fullest possible learning experience. This is truly a taste of what it is like living and working in the Relief and Development field. Applicants should be at least 18 yrs old, be willing to cover/raise all costs for the program, and have a heart for learning. Music for Life welcomes students currently enrolled in a post-secondary institute wishing to add this to their studies. Group applications are welcome.
“This program and especially the outside speakers, has opened up my eyes to the world, that we should fight for the poor communities and help to empower them.”
“The program was more than what I expected, I hadn’t expected such depth of content… I always wanted to learn proposal writing as I have a plan of starting up an orphanage in my lifetime so this is particularly applicable to me.”
