The 51st African Children’s Choir arrived in the United States in February to begin their “Just As I Am” tour. The children serve as ambassadors for the millions of impoverished children in Africa who have do not have a voice and they represent the dignity and limitless potential of all African children. Tours also raise funds to help thousands of children receive a quality education and care. In March their tour was cut short by COVID-19 and the children have been sheltering at our base in North Carolina. As travel restrictions are lifting, it is time for the children to return home to Uganda.
We are asking for your help to raise $40,000 by the end of September to help with flight costs to send 19 children and three Ugandan chaperones back home. In our 36 year history, we have not canceled a tour until now, but we have been encouraged by the support of the Church as we navigate this new chapter.
We are especially grateful to Pastor Matt Carter and Sagemont Church for taking the initiative to help the children return home.
Help Us Reach Our Goal of $40,000 And Donate Today!
