2022 ChangeMakers Gala

The annual ACC ChangeMakers Gala is back, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you! Our event will be hosted by long-time ambassadors Connie Britton and Carla Gugino. This event will feature a live show with a special performance by The Young Africans, a group of gifted singers, musicians and dancers who are all former members of the African Children’s Choir. The event will also include a virtual performance by the African Children’s Choir.

About The Cause

Since the African Children’s Choir was founded in 1984, the choir children have become ambassadors for the beauty, dignity, and potential of African children everywhere. The Choir’s parent organization Music For Life was established to extend the Choir’s voice and reach by offering a variety of education, relief, and development programs across Africa.

Thanks to the generosity of the organization’s many donors and supporters over the years, Music For Life has supported more than 53,000 of Africa’s most vulnerable children through education, and reached more than 100,000 in Africa’s poorest communities.

Tickets

General Admission - $275

Includes an evening of entertainment, dinner and open bar for one (1).

VIP Admission - $450

Includes an evening of entertainment, dinner and open bar as well as access to the Pre-Event Reception for one (1).

VIP 4-Top Table - $1,850

Includes an evening of entertainment, dinner and open bar for four (4) at a dedicated table as well as exclusive access to the Pre-Event Reception and recognition on the event program and website.

Sponsorship

Changemaker Sponsorship - $20,000

Sponsorship at this level covers the operating costs for 5 choir children for a year.

Two dedicated front row tables for ten (10), dinner, access to the Pre-Event Reception, opportunity for product placement at the event, featured recognition on all collateral and marketing materials, and exclusive sponsorship of the Pre-Event Reception.

Program Sponsorship - $10,000

Sponsorship at this level covers the operating costs for 2 choir children for a year.

A dedicated front row table for ten (10), dinner, access to the Pre-Event Reception, an opportunity for product placement at the event, featured recognition on one piece of custom merchandise and all event collateral and marketing materials.

Touring Sponsorship - $5,000

Sponsorship at this level covers the operating costs for 1 choir child for a year.

A dedicated table for eight (8), dinner, access to the Pre-Event Reception, an opportunity for product placement at the event, featured recognition on all event collateral and marketing materials.

Friend Sponsorship - $2,500

A table for six (6) in the VIP Lounge, dinner, access to the Pre-Event Reception, and logo placement or listing on all event collateral and marketing materials.

Important COVID-19 Protocols

We prioritize the health and safety of everyone connected to the African Children’s Choir, including our attendees, committee members, sponsors and staff. While participating in on-site events held by the African Children’s Choir (ACC), consistent with New York City recent Key to NYC Pass and CDC guidelines, participants are encouraged to practice hand hygiene, “social distancing” and wear face coverings to reduce the exposure to COVID-19.

The ACC will require all event participants to provide one of the following when checking in for the event at the registration desk:

– *Proof of at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccination
– *A vaccination card or presentation of the info through the NYC COVID Safe App

*Both digital or analog versions will be accepted.

Any participant who does not comply with these requirements will not be allowed into the event.

In addition, participants agree to self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 (symptoms typically include fever, cough, and shortness of breath) and contact Julia Tracy at the ACC at julia.tracy@africanchildrenschoir.com if he/she/they experiences symptoms of COVID-19 within 14 days after attending the event.

By attending an ACC event, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. I am not currently or within the past fourteen (14) days have experiencing any symptoms associated with COVID-19, which include fever, cough, and shortness of breath among others;

2. I have not traveled at any point in the past fourteen (14) days either internationally or to a community in the U.S. that has experienced or is experiencing sustained community spread of COVID-19; or

3. I do not believe that I may have been exposed to a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19 or have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and are not yet cleared as non-contagious by state or local public health authorities or the health care team responsible for treatment.
