Chaperone Application Form
Thank you for considering the role of chaperone with the African Children's Choir.
The role of a chaperone is an extremely important position on tour. Our chaperones are the primary caregivers for the children. In addition, they need to be professional representatives of the organization, positive and encouraging team members, consistent spiritual role models for the children and handle a variety of social situations with maturity and grace.
We have designed our application process to 1) help you consider and reflect on the various aspects of the position and 2) help us assess your preparedness for tour.
Each of the questions on this application are purposeful and are intended to give us needed background information in the following areas: employment and volunteer history, spiritual life, physical well-being, experience with children, previous exposure to cross-cultural environments and team building.
We trust you will take the time to answer the questions thoroughly so we’ll have an accurate overview of your background, experiences, and skills. Additionally, we encourage you to find references who know you well enough to adequately assess these areas of competency.
A background check is part of the application process. You will receive an email from our background check company, Secure Search, with details on how to proceed. If you are selected as a chaperone, the background check fee can be submitted for reimbursement, so please keep your receipt.
